Thank you for taking an interest in my petition. I’m hoping to raise awareness and gain support for Cancer Research U.K from people like you, because YOU make the difference. Cancer research is such an incredible charity which is run entirely by public funding, which means they need your help and donations to help find more cures for cancer and save thousands more lives, here is an example of how Cancer Research U.K can change lives forever…
Seven-year-old Thomas was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia when he was just 18 months old. He had been suffering from appetite loss, listlessness and infections and was sent for a bone marrow test at Manchester Children's Hospital. Once the diagnosis was confirmed he was given intense chemotherapy in two blocks eight weeks apart. He spent three years in and out of hospital and finished all of his treatment in March 2008. He is now doing well and helped to launch Cancer Research UK's Manchester Shine event as well as being nominated for a Little Star Award. "He always has a smile on his face," says his mum, "His early years were incredibly tough but the only reminder he has now is the scar from his Hickman line. Other than that he's a normal, bright, very bubbly little boy."
This is just one of the happy endings Cancer Research U.K has created; once people receive help from Cancer Research U.K the outcome is incredible. But with your help, more treatments could be found, thousands more could survive and more happy endings could be created. Thank you again for reading my blog. Please could you now post me a response with your thoughts.
