Keep Big Lots in Cantonment!

We, the undersigned, wish to see our Big Lots store relocated rather than closed for good.  Store #505 at 312 E. Nine Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL is closing because the store has lost its lease.  We want to continue to shop at Big Lots, but are unlikely to do so if it is inconvenient.  A suitable building has been suggested, but rumor has it someone with influence in the decision is blocking it.  We want Big Lots corporate to be assured that we, the consumers, believe the suggested location would be ideal.

The location we would like to see Big Lots give serious consideration to is 470 S. Highway 29, Cantonment, FL 32533.  It is easy to get to, offers easy entry/exit and has substantial parking.

It is situated in the area with the most growth in the Pensacola region.   Until the economy slumped, this area was growing rapidly.  Even in this time of limited growth, people and businesses continue to migrate to the area.  There are several large employers in the region who drive traffic to the area, including Navy Federal Credit Union (2600+), International Paper (550+), Solutia (700+, 300+ ‘permanent contract), Mariana Airmotive (180+), Gulf Power and West Corporation, etc.

We believe this location would be very profitable for Big Lots and strongly encourage you to explore this option.
