Motorcycles increase efficient use of land by occupying less road space, particularly in parking areas where up to 7 motorcycles can occupy one car space. However a recent survey by the National Crime Intelligence Service showed that more motorcycles are stolen in the UK than are bought new & £3m worth of bikes are stolen in the UK every month.
In a world of increasing regulation & conformity motorcycling represents one of the last bastions of individuality and diversity. This freedom of expression & individuality is not a \'given\'; it has to be protected and fought for. This is why MAG is focussed on promoting motorcycling & to represent, protect & defend the interests of all riders.

This being the case we would welcome your signature to support our proposal to Brighton & Hove Council to supply physical security in a key number of bays, to increase the number of bays & to undertake an audit of all current bays which will highlight bike capacity, location & bay dimensions & update their leaflet accordingly.
