We’re Rebecca, Kate, Tia and (other) Rebecca from St James’ school in Farnworth. Basically, we’ve created this page to raise awareness of our school campaign - Making water cheaper in school. We are looking for support to help get our camaign running.
Currently, the price of water stands at 60p for one bottle. We would like to lower it to simply fifty pence. Won’t make a big difference right?
Our research shows otherwise. (As all of you science geeks know) Water improves the amount of matter in the brain, allowing you to concentrate for longer. We have interviewed our local NHS associate, Marie Bisset, she told us that the information above is in fact very much true, and that our campaign is a good idea. From research we have done, we found that 60% of pupils, and 40% of staff in our school would like water to be made cheaper. And if this wasn’t enough evidence, we made a petition, on which over 200 pupils said that they would like water to be made cheaper.
