Stop the privatisation of the Department for Transport Shared Service Centre

We, the undersigned, condemn the Government's decision to privatise the Department for Transport Shared Services function based in Swansea. We believe the main reason for this decision is to reduce costs as part of the Government's program of cuts and to reduce the size of the public sector. Privatisation would remove Shared Services from the democratic accountability of the public sector. We support the PCS campaign to maintain the service in-house.
