We the undersigned electors of the Town of Java and surrounding towns request that for the safety of our community the Town of Java places guardrails on each side of the road on Java Lake Road, Java NY where the recent tragedy of Erin Pinter took place. The request is being made for the following reasons: Those ponds are a hazard to everyone that drives by them, there is no room or shoulder in between the road and those ponds. Anyone can catch that gravel and easily lose control and end up in the ponds resulting in death. If those ponds flood the water can easily cause ice on that road area with cold enough conditions that will result in wiping out.
Erin dedicated her life to changing the lives of others and as her mother, her father, brother, friend and community we ask that you hear our request and help change a life in memory of Erin Haley Pinter. If guardrails were already placed there Erin would not have lost her life. So please hear our voice and help us save the next person that becomes subjected to that area of road.
