Fix our village roadsWe the undersigned demand that Hertfordshire County Council make the roads in Wheathamsptead fit for purpose, including Lower Luton Road and Wheathampstead High Street which are riddled with dangerous pot holes, craters and poor quality patching. We demand that these roads are urgently inspected, repaired and resurfaced to a standard that reflects the volume of traffic that they carry each day.

Susan MasonLower Luton RoadThis road is a disgrace - pot holes are never fixed properly, not helped by the fact that nothing is done to stop the HGVs speeding along this road even though it is a lorry ban zone. I'd like to pull out of my driveway without ruining my tyres in the pot holes!

Mr.Richard ParkinsonWheathampsteadIt's about time the repairs were carried out correctly and sealed against moisture ingress just like they used to be. I think we have a lack of engineering know how in the Herts Highways org. The current trend to a quick fix by dumping in a load of tarred macadam by a man with a spade is a complete waste of time and tax payers money. Its about time they improved their act!
