We demand free entrance for torridge residents onto Northam Burrows

We the residents of Torridge demand the right to gain entry and park for free in the burrows! Speaking as a torridge resident we have to pay £4 every time we want to park on the burrows. However Northam residents are able to purchase a discounted season ticket for 'compensation for the loss of grazing!!'

Living in Devon, we pay some of the highest water rates in the country to clean up the sea around our coastline while suffering low wages, high house prices and limited professional opportunities.

Our council still sees fit to tax the locals again on the 1 thing that makes living down here enjoyable....... the coastline!

We feel that allowing all the residents of torridge to gain access to the burrows for free will add to the quality of life for the residents, we must remind our council that its not all about money!!! We believe that we should be actively encouraging the local population to use the burrows and removing all obstacles preventing that from happening.

OUR AIM IS TO STOP THE UNFAIR TAX ON LOCALS WHO WANT TO SPEND TIME ON THEIR BEACH!!
