We, the undersigned citizens of the Town of Boxford, recommend to each of our Selectmen, that they NOT file litigation against the Zoning Board of Appeals (“ZBA”).
We think it is NOT in the best interest of the Town of Boxford for the Selectmen, or other elected or appointed representatives of the Town, to initiate a lawsuit against the ZBA, in response to the ZBA’s decision to not approve a Special Permit for the proposed library construction at the Cummings House site on Elm Street.
Further, we think that viable, cooperative, alternatives to litigation do exist.
As such, rather than pursuing litigation - a costly and divisive approach – we recommend to each Selectman that they choose a cooperative solution to construct a new library for the Town of Boxford.
