My partner and I are doing this petition in order to persuade NICE(National Institute For Health And Clinical Excellence)to change their guidelines on intrapartum care.
The reason for this is stop families going through the trauma that ourselves and family have suffered.
We recently lost our daughter Megan,at 41weeks term. She was still born.
Our daughter could still be here today if the intrapartum care guidelines did not state that low risk mothers (pregnancies) did not need to be monitored by ctgs.
Therefore I would like the intrapartum care guidelines to be changed so that whether the pregnancy is classed as high risk or low risk all mothers in labour admitted into a hospital maternity unit receive the same care. All mothers in labour should have the option to be monitored by a ctg if they desire.
If we had had that option that day our daughter may not have died, so please sign our petition to try and prevent other parents and families suffering the same trauma that we had to go through that day and will never be able to forget.
