Prevent The Honouring of Charlotte Whitton

Thank you everyone - who took the time to sign this petition!  We really appreciate the fact that you felt strongly enough about it to sign.  
It is appalling in this day and age that someone who showed so much insensitivity and blatant ignorance (anti-semitic) should be rewarded in any manner.  The City of Ottawa is proposing to name the new Library and Archives building after Charlotte Whitton.  There will be a vote on May 11th, 2011 by full City Council on this matter.  We would like to have as many names as possible of individuals who are opposed to this.
I would urge you to get everyone to sign that you feel would support our desire to prevent the naming of the new Library & Archives Building (or any other building for that matter) after Charlotte Whitton.
