Nancy Reuben Primary School - Planning Application for early years building

Nancy Reuben Primary School (NRPS) located in Hendon, London is a thriving Kindergarten and Primary school which caters for children aged 2 years to 11 years old.

NRPS has lodged a planning application with the London Borough of Barnet for the redevelopment and building of a two storey Early Years Unit to replace the existing one storey building at the back of the school.  The existing building is old and in need of renovation and rather than simply renovate the existing structure, the school wishes to redevelop the site and create a two storey building.

The application for planning permission was made four months ago.  However, unfortunately, Barnet Council's planning department are reluctant to grant planning permission for the current works, despite a team of planning consultants and architects having advised the school that there should be no reason why the application should be refused.
