Poynton Against the A555

We the undersigned, call upon Stockport Council (SMBC), as lead council, to cancel the proposed Airport to A6 Link Road (A555) in favour of more sustainable and quickly implemented projects to keep Manchester moving and its people prosperous.

We deplore the resurrection of this 80 year old scheme to drive a dual carriageway through green belt open country, part of which has legal protection as ‘Ancient Woodland’.
