This petition is to the Obama administration to urge for presidential pardon for US Army officer Clint Lorance. He is currently serving a twenty year life sentence for murder charges in Leavenworth prison.
Unlike thoughtless acts of aggression towards fellow men, Lorance issued an order to his men when they were faced with three men speeding towards them in a minefield in Afghanistan. Being in enemy territory, Lorance performed his duty of ordering his men to fire against the strangers to protect themselves. Among the three who were fired at, two were killed and one wounded. For performing his duties in protecting his soldiers, Lorance has ended up on murder charges and is currently in Leavenworth prison.
It is important that the country men realize the injustice being performed here and sign this petition. The president needs to be aware of this situation and exercise his power to pardon a man who has served the US Army.
