WE NEED YOU! - All Maryland Citizens Who Believe In The Importance Of Port Discovery Children's Museum
Please help us ensure that Port Discovery continues to be a world-class children’s museum providing informal educational resources for children, families and teachers through purposeful play.
Port Discovery Children’s Museum is seeking funding through the Maryland Capital Budget and we need to let Governor O’Malley know that you support our request. Your signature will show that the health of the Museum is important to your family.
Since opening our doors almost 14 years ago, we have served over 3.5 million visitors. We are proud of our 106 year-old historic Fish Market home but this very old building presents many challenges. We are in critical need of building infrastructure and other renovations to safeguard the health of the Museum and allow us to continue to provide relevant educational experiences for our children and their families.
These include: a new roof, repair of exterior walls, repair or replacement of doors and windows, lighting and electrical upgrades, exhibit renovations and new exhibits.
