Every year, 820000 teenage pregnancies occur each year in America. That is nearly 93 pregnancies EVERY HOUR. This number is way too high, and America pays for it. Teenage pregnancy costs the United States government 7 billion dollars each year, and that is both way too high and easiliy avoidable. It is proven that children who receive sexual education are much less likely to engage in dangerous sexual activity, that is sex with no protection. The only problem is that not every student in America's education system receives sexual education. My proposal is to force the Department of Education to change this. I want every child to take atleast one sexual education course every year from 6th grade up until their high school graduation. I feel that not only will the health and future of these young Americans be positively impacted, but that 7 billion that America spends each year can go to other problems.
