Minnesota Legislature: Formally legalize Same-Sex Joint and Step-parent adoption

There are so many children that are in orphanages and are wards of the state that would love to have a loving family no matter what sexual orientation of the parents. Likewise, there are tons of Same-sex couples that either want to adopt a child together, or already have a child that they want to make more secure by having both parents share custodial duties.  With Minnesota's current ambiguous laws, these potential parents might not be able to make their child fully legally secure or even potentially adopt a child. On the other side, children that are wards of the state that do not have a parental influence will have less of a chance of being put in a happy, safe, healthy home. Minnesota should clarify their adoption laws and give both the parents and children a chance for happiness.
