The Tower at Arthur's Seat, on the Mornington Peninsula, is to be demolished.
This structure has been part of the history of Arthur's Seat and should remain so. In years past one could climb to the top and see the most captivating view of Port Phillip Bay. It has been neglected for many years by Parks Victoria and sadly  this icon is now set to be knocked down.

Arthur Seat Lookout Tower is a highly significant and unique part of the heritage of the shire, it was one of many projects, built in 1934, to commemorate the centenary of Victoria.
Designed by G.W.Brown in art deco style
