The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Council are proposing a 95% cut to funding for Wendell Park and 9 other Children's Centres.
Quite simply, the £19,000 annual funding proposed for these centres will barely cover building costs. There will be no staff. The soul of the centres would be lost.
Where will the vulnerable parents now get the in-community support for themselves - and their children - that these centres provide? Where will they learn to mix with other parents and children, in the community? Where else will our children learn and develop with such a mixture of other parents and children, pre-school? Where else will provide such an early learning provision for families on lower incomes... for our children?
These children are our future. Let's maintain this early learning provision for our children, and support for the adults caring for them.
Please sign your support to maintain a fully staffed service at Wendell Park Children's Centre and the other Children's Centres within the Borough.
