Lift Ban Off Island Beats, Tempest,New DimensionZ

Dear Students of Woburn,

 A few teachers at our school have made an unfair decision.  They have BANNED the talented New DimensionZ, Island Beatz and Tempest, from performing at our year-end assembly.  This ban MUST be lifted, in order to ensure them performing.  These talented groups have put in a lot of time, sacrifices, and effort, to entertain us, and to showcase their talents.

As students of Woburn Collegiate Institute, we strongly believe in equality and fairness.  We also support passionate groups that express the arts.  After Dance Showcase 2012, there was an incident that happened at a meeting after this event, and this resulted in a few teachers banning three of our talented dance groups.  We believe that the unfair decision in banning Tempest, New DimensionZ, and Island Beatz, was an act of injustice.   We will not let the hard work, sacrifices, and energy put into these groups go to waste, as they are a part of the Woburn mosaic, they bring indivuality and pride to our school.   We are signing this petition in solidarity with the other students of Woburn, who want to lift the ban off these talented, passionate dance groups.  We would like to see them perform at the Year-end assembly. If this ban is not lifted, we will boycott the year-end assembly.
